Hello, my little research patrons!! 💛 I’m in the final stages of survey setup for Choir Critters, which means we’re very close to the next big step.



Survey Status (What’s Happening Next)

I’m about to submit the survey to BackerKit for review, and then I’ll run a smoke test: about 5% of backers from each pledge level will receive surveys first so we can catch any weirdness (missing items, wrong questions, etc.). Once I’ve fixed anything that pops up, I’ll send surveys to everyone.
With any luck, you’ll be seeing your surveys sometime this week! 🤞

📝 What is the Survey?

The survey is where you’ll:
  • Choose your designs for the items included in your pledge level (you can pick duplicates by selecting the same design multiple times if you want!)
  • Confirm your address (you’ll be able to update it later! I'll email before addresses are locked closer to fulfillment)
  • Add extra add-ons if you’d like (including anything that was added late or wasn’t available during the campaign)

💳 Add-ons + Payments (Quick & Important)

  • If you purchased Add-ons during the campaign, you’ll confirm or choose designs in the Add-ons section.
  • You can also add more during the survey if you want!
  • You are only charged again if you add additional items.
  • You may be prompted to review/update your payment info so any added items can be charged properly.

BackerKit has been processing charges and retrying any failed payments since the campaign ended. So if you get an email about a payment issue, please update your card as soon as you can so your pledge doesn’t get delayed!

Anything I added late (or that wasn't available during the campaign) will be available in surveys and the Pre-order Shop. So if you missed something like the Cherubim or The Furbidden One, you’ll still be able to snag them.

Field Report: Cherubim Sighted (Design Reveal) 🌈🪽

Okay friends… we have our Cherubim sighting at last!!! 👀✨ Thank you for your patience as I conducted the necessary research on these fine feathered friends. 🙏




✅ Stretch Goal #11 Unlocked: Cherubim (Deluxe Pin) | $20,000

 
Cherubim are guardians of thresholds, sacred spaces, and the kind of “do not touch” knowledge best left out of our hands. They are full-spectrum beings of color and light, like stained glass given wings.
Their feathers and panes reflect and refract so intensely that witnesses report getting blinded… but not before glimpsing fractal patterns stretching endlessly through those translucent, impossible wings.
Eyes bloom across the stained-glass feathers, while delicate filigree trace along the arms of each wing. Gemstone eyes stud their skin, watchful, cataloging every movement. They remain statuesque, as if to say "I won't attack you, but I will calmly deny you access."
Because prolonged observation is… not recommended, some details remain unconfirmed. Reports vary wildly: four heads, human hands, and other impossible features. And honestly? If a being can manipulate light itself, every description could simply be an illusion.

Important Note: this artwork isn’t final. That said, I’ll be staying as close and as true to the current design as humanly possible. This design may need small adjustments to suit the stained glass enamel. The “stained glass” shown in the mockup won’t match the final product exactly, but I’ll keep everyone updated as samples come in! 😇

Field Report: Omens Set II Manifested 🧿✨

I’ve got the final 4 Cryptic Omen Hanging Charm designs finished! So say hello to: the Furbidden One, Cherububu, Holy Donut, and Sacred String Toy! 🍩🩷



Instructions for the String Toy

  • The Sacred String Toy charm can attach via the mini lobster claw clasp to any halo hang point on your pin(s).
  • It can also be wielded as a wand with which to summon your very own Purrincipality. Use with care.




A few quick Field Notes highlights for fun:

  • Furbidden One | Haunted Plush Oracle: delivers revelation at maximum volume and worst timing.
  • Cherububu | Smiling Harbinger: appears without warning, smiling like it knows your password.
  • Holy Donut | Communion, But Make It Glazed: arrives as a peace offering… already enjoyed.
  • Sacred String Toy | Ritual Implement of Enrichment: the bell doesn’t summon the guardian, only confirms it’s already on the way.


Huge thank you to Ari the Madlad for the lovely suggestions~ “Even divine beings aren’t immune to the allure of food and toys” might be the truest thing ever. 😂

I took a few liberties, but I hope I did the ideas justice: I mean… you can’t go wrong with a pink frosted donut with sprinkles, and a death’s-head moth cat toy feels extremely apt for our little Purrincipalities, right? 😘 Two generations of arguably cursed toys also felt like the correct way to round out the series~ Hopefully you’ll find an omen that calls to you! …or is it the other way around? 🤔



Update on the Free Sticker Design 🎉

Quick clarification: the freebie sticker can be ANY unlocked design, not just the Omen Charms! So sorry if that was unclear and affected your suggestions/votes! 🙏


If an Omen Charm wins, the sticker version will not include the clasp or any attachment loop(s), so no worries about cluttering the art. ✨ And it looks like no matter what we pick, we’re headed toward a fancy finish (I’m seeing a lot of love for glitter and holo 👀). I’m thinking it could be fun to order a few special-effect samples and run a poll later… but first, we choose the design!

Right now, Tamagodchi and Seraphim are in the lead, followed by Power/Throne, then Dominion/White Purrincipality. If you’d like to suggest a design or upvote someone else’s suggestion, please do so on the previous update so everything stays in one place:

Choir Critters ended at $25,282, reaching far beyond even the final stretch goal of $20k! And on top of that, you also unlocked the free sticker for all physical backers by hitting the 350 backer goal, and reaching past it to 386 of you. I’m honestly hard-pressed to find words, YET AGAIN. Thank you for making this project feel real in a way I didn’t dare hope for!! 🥹💖



❓ So What's Next? (What to Expect & When) ❓


💵 1) Payments + the 2-Week Grace Period

BackerKit will spend the next ~2 weeks processing pledges and retrying any failed payments.
If your payment fails, you should receive a notice, so keep an eye out and update your payment info so your pledge doesn’t drop. 😊

Tip: If you don’t see an email, check spam and promotions folders (and search your inbox for BackerKit).


📝 2) Surveys: When They’ll Arrive

I’m aiming to send surveys 2–3 weeks after the campaign ends (so early March)!

Surveys are where you’ll:
  • confirm your shipping address
  • pick your pin designs (where applicable)
  • choose any “bundles” (like the stickers & charms)
  • add/adjust add-ons (if you want more goodies)

Pay Over Time Backers: your survey may be delayed until your final payment clears. If I need selection info sooner for accurate production counts, I may post a Google Form for Pay Over Time folks. If so, I’ll make a separate Update with the link. Otherwise, assume I’ve got what I need! 👍


🕝 3) How Long will Surveys Stay Open?

Once surveys go out, I’ll keep them open for a while so folks can make changes. I’ll announce a clear “Survey Lock” date in an Update before I lock anything.

Tip: Nothing is locked until surveys lock. ✅


📦 4) When do Add-ons & Shipping Get Charged?

  • Charge #1 (the only charge for Tip Jar backers!): Your pledge is processed shortly after the campaign ends (BackerKit retries failed payments for ~2 weeks).
  • Charge #2 (if applicable): If you add extra items in the survey, those add-on charges will be collected shortly after surveys close.
  • Charge #3 (shipping): Shipping will be collected later, closer to fulfillment, once I have accurate package weights and can calculate the correct rates.

Tip: If you’re budgeting, no stress! You’ll have time between “survey sent” and “survey locked,” and I’ll give a heads-up before any final charges run. 😊






🎁 Bonuses & Freebies (Making sure You’re Covered)

Any freebies you qualified for during the campaign should be reflected on your order/survey automatically (this can include the Early Bird Pin, Prior Backer Charm, Banner Holographic Sticker, $150+ Free Omen Charm, and the Free Sticker for all Physical Orders).

Exception: $150+ Free Omen Charm
This one is based on totals, so here’s how it’ll work:
  • If you already qualify before surveys go out, you should see it there!
  • If you qualify later during the survey (by increasing your pledge/add-ons), I’ll be adding the free charm in batches, so you may not see it immediately! It may appear closer to when I lock surveys.

Tip: If you think you qualify for something and don’t see it, please message me and I’ll make sure you’re taken care of! 💛


🛍️ Pre-Order Shop (for Latecomers & Last-minute Add-ons)

After the campaign, I’ll be opening a pre-order shop so people who missed the campaign can still grab items at (roughly) campaign pricing for a short window!
Important: Pre-order purchases won’t include campaign-only bonuses by default.

However:
  • the free sticker will be included with physical orders $18+
  • the $150+ free Omen charm will still apply to qualifying orders

  • the final wave of Omen Charm designs (working on finishing them up now!)
  • the Cherubim Deluxe Pin art (I have a rough sketch and I’m polishing it up & coloring it next!)

FIELD REPORT: EVERYTHING UNLOCKED (20k+?!?!) 😭🪽✨

I did a big sleep after being up for… an irresponsible number of hours, and waking up to 20k+ has me absolutely losing it. You all obliterated the last stretch goals! Thank you doesn’t even cover it. I’ve read your comments and I’m going to reply to every single one, I promise, but this update is just me trying to catch everything important in one place. ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥



1) Seraphim Status: BOTH VARIANTS CONFIRMED 🐉

It’s super clear now that we can make both Seraphim colorways, so if you were worried your favorite wouldn’t happen, you’re safe. 🙏 And if you want both, just be sure to either pledge for a tier with 2+ Deluxe Pin slots, or include 2 of the Seraphim add-on!

Also, I loved hearing the feedback about the Golden Seraphim tail flames getting lost. When I build the final vector, I’m going to push hard to make those flames pop! 🔥



2) Quicksand Pin Example (what that means!) ⏳

I totally forgot to include this last time! 😱 Quicksand pins have a clear sealed chamber filled with liquid and fine glitter. When you tilt the pin, the glitter drifts, resembling a tiny galaxy or an hourglass. (Example from @onlypin.franny on IG.)

So imagine, if you will, this effect showing up in the wings and behind the see-through body of the Seraphim. 🤩





3) Housekeeping: Purrincipality 10-Sticker Pack price typo

HUGE thank-you to Avi for catching that the 10 Purrincipalities Sticker Pack price was mistyped. It should be $15, not $25!

I’ve already contacted BackerKit to see if they can correct it on the backend. If they can’t, I’ll still make it right (either by fixing it via a swap solution or crediting the $10 difference). 💛

I've created a new 10 Purrincipalities Sticker Pack add-on with the correct price and hidden the old one. So feel free to switch the add-on now, if you know you've added the incorrectly priced one~ 😊




4) Add-ons are now… extremely stacked 😇

Cherubim & Seraphim are now available as enamel pin add-ons and large sticker add-ons!

These final goodies are also live: last of the Omens and the Purrincipality variants. AND YES, there will be four new Omen charms. 👀 Sometimes the ideas show up fully formed and I simply become their vessel.





5) “But there’s no art yet, am I locked in?”

Nope! If you grab an add-on that’s still in-progress (Cherubim / unrevealed Omens), you’re not trapped! Once surveys go out after the campaign, you’ll be able to adjust your selections before I lock anything. And if you need help later, just message me and we’ll sort it out. 😉✨

Also: any one Omen Charm (including the new ones) will be available to choose as a freebie for $150+ physical orders as a big thank-you. 🗡️🕯️👁️



6) Lore cards?! And an ongoing poll~

Yes! If you’re anything like me, the “what is this creature about” part is half the fun, so I’m planning to include little info cards with deluxe pin orders. (Field notes, but tangible!)
